The Destroyers for Bases deal was signed on March 27, 1941, and transferred fifty aging US destroyers to Great Britain in exchange 99-year leases of bases the British controlled islands Newfoundland, Bermuda, Trinidad, Jamaica, Antigua, St. Lucia, Bahamas, one Guiana. highlights how strategic planners came see value because their relationality.
